Babbling about Babel: Mumford & Sons Drop New CD

First blog post and I'm going to attack readers with my love for a group of men I listen to regularly; Mumford & Sons.

With their release of their new album- ‘Babel’, available as of September 24th, the band rewards listeners after waiting two years for new material.

Their debut album, Sigh No More – released in 2010, the folk rock quartet had me embarrassingly dancing around the house or constantly humming their hit “The Cave.”  ‘Babel’ eggs on my really bad dance moves and out of tune hums with tracks such as “Lover of the Light”, ‘Whispers in the Dark’ and the already chart climber “I Will Wait”, hitting number 2 on Billboard’s top Alternative 25.

Music Video for "I Will Wait" Published on Sep 9, 2012 by

The music video for “I Will Wait” features the group’s live performance from the Red Rocks amphitheatre in Colorado. Beauty of the outdoor venue gave the perfect setting for the energetic performance not only by the band but their audience as well. Who doesn’t love admiring outdoors while being serenaded with lights and sounds of hard hitting strings and raspy soft sounds?

Being a band that lives for touring and live performance, this video showcases how Mumford & Sons’ calm, intimate connection with their fans is received no matter how large their audience appears.

With their ‘The Tour of Two Halves’ tour announced for November, the band will be travelling around Ireland and the UK hitting up outdoor and indoor venues.  Already made success of Babel in North America has high hopes for a headlining tour with major city dates.

After Babel hit number one on UK chart’s, member of the band Ted Dwane told British Magazine, NME, “… I think we’re bigger than we ever wanted to be. I don’t think we want to get any bigger now." I have a feeling they are wrong about that.

Any new album releases you guys are stoked about?
